I'm Alex, I'm an editor, and I'm currently an Associate Member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE).
Based in New York City, I work primarily on feature-length and short-form narratives and documentaries. I love crafting the narrative, discovering emotion, and finding the rhythms that are unique to each story.
My most recent film, "La Lucha: Getting Schooled in America" is a feature-length documentary about five students attempting to graduate high school, but they must navigate the world of drugs, gangs, and violence that surrounds them. The film features interviewees such as Danny Trejo and Dr. Drew Pinsky. I was also recently an Additional Editor on the feature-length film "The Strange Dark," editing alongside Erica Freed Marker, ACE. It's a sci-fi thriller, which follows Edgar, a man who claims he can see the future, as he tries to protect his family from two agents sent to find out if his claims are true.
